Tips, Ideas, and Insights to Savor
The current Brain Aerobics Weekly notes that the movie version of Eat Pray Love opens in theatres this week. Based on the book by Elizabeth Gilbert in which she chose Italy, India, and Bali to experience the food, spiritual life, and falling in love, we ask readers to choose the three countries they would like to explore for those reasons (or others). This makes an interesting ice-breaker, writing assignment or group discussion topic.
Consider:
- If you had a year with enough income to spend as you please, what countries would you like to explore?
- Would you concentrate, as the author did on food, spirituality and falling in love? If so, what would you hope to learn about yourself? If not, what would you hope to learn or do instead?
- If you cannot take a year off, what steps can you make toward reflection on a smaller scale?
